The different game modes available on Among Us are Classic (original deduction format) and Hide and Seek (imposters try to catch the crewmates before they finish their tasks). Players can either join public/private servers or host a game by themselves. Each Among Us game supports 4 to 15 players per match and consists of two main roles:
Players can call Emergency Meetings when they see something suspicious, where players can vote someone off based on the discussion. Reporting a dead body also results in a meeting. The imposters and crewmates have special variants, which are randomly assigned to players at the game lobby before the start of the game. This can be changed in the game settings. The maps available in Among Us are The Skeld, Mira HQ, Polus, The Airship and Fungle. Each map introduces different security systems, task placements and vents for Impostors. Players can also customise their avatar with 15+ colours, hats, pets and skins, which can be earned through Stars or Beans.
